The ‘Zerotondo’ Alcohol Free Organic from the extensive Venetian reality of Astoria is a non-alcoholic sparkling wine from organic farming produced from white grapes. Already specialized in the world of Prosecco and sparkling wines in general, Astoria has been one of the first Italian wineries, in 2012, to focus on alcohol-free wines, launching ‘Zerotondo’ on the market. The idea behind this bottle is to offer a product to those who want to enjoy the liveliness of sparkling wines without wanting or being able to consume alcoholic beverages, for religious or health reasons.
The Alcohol Free ‘Zerotondo’ Organic from Astoria is made from white grapes grown under certified organic conditions. In the winery, the bunches undergo a brief cold maceration, followed by soft pressing, with the resulting must being stored in special refrigerated tanks to prevent the start of alcoholic fermentation. Before bottling, the must is then added with carbon dioxide to achieve the effervescence that characterizes this sparkling wine.
In visual examination, the ‘Zerotondo’ Astoria Alcohol FreeThe Organic shows a pale straw yellow color with the finest bubbles. On the nose, inviting aromas of peach, citrus, apple, and wild white flowers follow one another. Rich and intense sip, with the pleasant sweetness well supported by the lively effervescence, all accompanied by fresh and fragrant sensations. The recommendation is to serve this sparkling wine at a particularly cold temperature as a valid alternative to classic alcoholic bubbles.
