The Barbera d’Asti “Tasmorcan” is a Magnum red wine of great territorial typicity that impresses with its soft and fresh character. After about 4 months of aging in large barrels and barriques, it expresses itself with an aromatic range rich in small fruits, red flowers, and delicate oriental spices. On the palate, it reveals a medium-structured body, full and soft, but also pleasantly juicy and direct. A celebratory format for a great red wine!

This Barbera d'Asti Magnum "Tasmorcan" is a wine conceived and designed by Elio Perrone to tell the fruity and exuberant notes of the starting grape variety, Barbera. Elegance, style, and balance are adjectives that aptly describe this label where aromas and flavors move with the lightness of simplicity. A bottle that does not want to be tied to clichés, even aesthetic ones, and is therefore presented with a bottle of very particular silhouette. Cheeses and cold cuts, together with stuffed pasta from the Piedmontese tradition and red and white meat dishes are the pairings that testify to the great versatility of this Barbera.

The "Tasmorcan" Magnum comes from those young vineyards located near Isola d'Asti, more precisely in the Mongovone district. After the pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The subsequent aging takes two paths: 70% of the mass matures in 25-hectoliter oak barrels, while the remaining 30% ages in barriques of French oak, for a total of 4 months. At the beginning of the spring following the harvest, the team at Elio Perrone winery proceeds with bottling.

“Tasmorcan” Magnum Barbera d’Asti reveals itself to the eye with a concentrated ruby color and a beautiful intensity. The nose is enveloped by a weave of aromas mainly fruity, enriched by a slight spiciness from which eastern hints emerge. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a full and round sip, characterized by a fresh taste of beautiful intensity. A free, expressive, and smiling bottle that fully reflects the production philosophy of Elio Perrone. An extraordinary Magnum format!
