The Barolo “Paesi Tuoi” from the Vite Colte winery is a complex and structured red wine from the Langhe area in Piemonte. This label is made from a blend of pure Nebbiolo grapes sourced from various suppliers in the areas suitable for Barolo production. The vineyards, located at different altitudes, generally between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, are cultivated using the traditional guyot method on predominantly marl soils of both Helvetian and Tortonian origin. The winery is a cooperative reality that gathers 180 producers, all committed to producing high-quality grapes that can give life to wines tied to the extraordinary vocation of the territory.
The “Paesi Tuoi” Barolo is produced with carefully selected grapes harvested exclusively by hand, generally during the first weeks of October. The bunches are then destemmed and crushed in the winery where they undergo alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers for about 15-20 days, with long maceration on the skins. This is followed by racking and the subsequent aging of the wine in large oak barrels for at least 24 months. After bottling, the Barolo continues to mature for an additional 12 months in the bottle before being released for sale.
