The Bolgheri Rosso "Podere di Orma" is a Tuscan Bordeaux blend with a fruity, substantial, and rich profile that is aged for 6 months in barrels. It reveals an intense aromatic structure of ripe fruit, such as pomegranate, cherry, sour cherry, and berries, enriched by spicy hints, vegetal notes, and memories of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate, it is enveloping and medium-bodied, with a well-integrated tannic structure and pleasant fruity freshness.

The Bolgheri Rosso “Passi di Orma” from the Orma winery is a Tuscan red that is born with an eye towards France. The coastal area of Bolgheri is, in fact, famous for producing excellent wines with international grape varieties. It is a classic Bordeaux blend, made with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The brief aging in wood gives a wine in which fruity and varietal notes still prevail over tertiary evolution aromas. It is an intense, rich, and fragrant red, with aromas of red fruit, accompanied by delicate spicy and toasted hints.

The Bolgheri Red “Passi di Orma” comes from one of the wine areas in Tuscany that has gained notoriety in relatively recent times. The Tuscan coast is not, in fact, particularly suitable for the cultivation of Sangiovese, but has proven extraordinarily suited for Bordeaux-origin red grape varieties, particularly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The French red grapes have found in Bolgheri the suitable soils, a great brightness,a mild and always breezy climate. A combination of favorable conditions that allows for the production of ripe grapes and wines with a rich, Mediterranean profile. Following the international success of a legendary name like Sassicaia, Bolgheri has become a sort of promised land for those who want to experiment with the classic Bordeaux grape varieties and produce reds in the style of the most renowned French model.

The “Passi di Orma” Bolgheri, from the Tuscan winery Orma, is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes. The grape varieties are vinified separately, following their different ripening periods. The vinifications take place in stainless steel tanks with skin maceration for about 18 days. Before bottling, the wine matures for 6 months in French oak barriques. In the glass, it has a dark ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. On the nose, it recalls aromas of currants, cherries, small berries, toasted notes, hints of vanilla, and soft spices. On the palate, it has good structure, with evolved tannins broad and intense aromas. The finish is very balanced, fresh, and persistent
