From our sommeliers

The "Volpolo" by Podere Sapaio is a rich and fruity expression of Bolgheri Rosso, born from a long maceration on the skins and a refinement of 14 months in large and small barrels. A pleasant bouquet of sweet spices and blueberries enlivens a soft and very balanced sip, endowed with beautiful freshness

controlled temperature in steel tanks, macerating for a long time on the skins. The aging, which has a total duration of 14 months, takes place both in barriques and in French tonneaux.

The Bolgheri Rosso “Volpolo” presents itself visually with the classic ruby color. On the nose, sensations of small berries are perceived, enriched by spicier notes that peek through at the finish. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with a sip that reveals savory and fresh veins that make drinking a true pleasure. A label with which the Podere Sapaio winery, one of the most interesting production realities in Bolgheri that has emerged in the last twenty years, reconciles the main national and international critics of the sector.
