Brunello di Montalcino Magnum Uccelliera 2019 (Confezione)
Uccelliera 's Brunello di Montalcino is the oenological jewel of the house. Produced in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, starting with a selection of Sangiovese grapes, it is then refined for a long period in wood with a different capacity and toasting. On the nose it is ample, with aromas of dried flowers, undergrowth, dried fruit, on the palate it is fine and balanced, with a smooth tannin and a long palatal persistence
The Brunello di Montalcino produced by Uccelliera is a true champion of the entire denomination. Compliments are indeed abundant for this Tuscan red, an example of how Sangiovese can reach truly remarkable quality peaks in this region. Structure and elegance go hand in hand on the palate, while the nose perceives a whirlwind of intense aromas, capable of touching different chords with always balanced notes. To be savored with the right awareness, until the last drop.
The Brunello di Montalcino originates from pure Sangiovese grapes, cultivated by the Uccelliera winery in vineyards located in the fraction to the southeast of Montalcino, Castelnuovo dell’Abate. We are at an altitude above sea level ranging from 150 to 350 meters, in a terroir with sandy and clayey texture, with a predominance of skeleton. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in steel tanks spontaneously, thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts; the subsequent aging lasts for at least 24 months and takes place both in French oak barrels and Slavonian barrels.
This Brunello di Montalcino presents itself to the eye with a typically ruby color, crossed by flashes and garnet reflections at the rim. Fruit in spirit alternates on the nose with almost magical scents of dried flowers and floral nuances, moving over an olfactory background that recalls wet earth. On the palate, it is broad, round, and enveloping thanks to a finely polished tannin, which enhances a sip of excellent persistence. A multi-award-winning label – it reaches the highest scores in the Slowine guide and on Bibenda, in addition to receiving high scores from true wine gurus like Robert Parker – to add to your wish list: if you love great Tuscan reds, this is the wine for you.
