Brunello di Montalcino Pietroso 2019

The Brunello di Montalcino from Pietroso is a Tuscan red that ranks among the highest quality of the entire denomination. The winery is a small production reality that develops over just under five hectares of land, where Sangiovese is the undisputed protagonist of every product made. Just like in this bottle, whose muscular and vigorous sip accompanies a symphony of aromas that finds perfect synthesis in the nose. A label that, sip after sip, immerses us in the classic and traditional soul of Brunello.

The Brunello di Montalcino from the Pietroso winery is made from pure Sangiovese grapes, cultivated with a spurred cordon in vineyards located at an altitude between 350 and 450 meters above sea level, on a soil rich in skeleton. After the harvest, which is strictly manual to select only the best bunches, fermentation takes place in steel, using indigenous yeasts and macerating on the skins for about 20 days at controlled temperature. Then we move on to the aging phase, carried out first for 36 months in wooden barrels, and then, after bottling, directly in glass for another 6 months.

The Brunello made by the Pietroso winery presents itself to the eye with a ruby red color, with reflections that in the rim take on a garnet hue. The bouquet of aromas that envelops the nose reveals scents that shift from fruity to underbrush, also giving spicy touches. On the palate, it is of great structure, broad and round, with a warm sip where the important tannic texture that accompanies the drink is felt. A label made by the Pietroso winery with great care and attention, in which quality abounds, as evidenced by the awards and recognitions that the main national guides attribute to this excellent wine.
