The Champagne Extra Brut 1er Cru Assemblage Guy Méa is the label that best represents the elegant and classic style of the maison. As explicitly stated on the label, it is a blend cuvée, born from a selection of grapes from different plots of the estate, chosen with the aim of creating a perfect expressive harmony. The balance of the Champagne is the result of the combination of the structure and tension typical of Pinot Noir, which blend wonderfully with the refined floral and fruity character of Chardonnay. The result is an elegant glass, offering the immediate fragrance of a satisfying and refreshing sip.
The Extra Brut 1er Cru Assemblage is a Champagne produced by a family-owned domaine that works with passion and artisanal care. The Maison Guy Méa manages a heritage of precious vineyards located in the Montagne de Reims area. The Champagne represents a true synthesis of the territory. The grapes of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the result of a careful selectionof as many as 27 plots, cultivated in the municipal territories of 5 Grand Cru and numerous Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims. The cuvée is created using base vintage wines, blended with those from the previous vintage and with 17% of reserve wines preserved using the Solera Method, that is, by mixing several vintages. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a sur lattes aging of at least 36 months in the chalk caves.
The Champagne Extra Brut 1er Cru Assemblage Guy Méa offers the pleasure of rediscovering the classic and traditional taste of a great Champagne from the terroir of the Montagne de Reims. It presents a beautiful golden yellow color with brilliant reflections and a bright, very delicate and persistent perlage. Fine and elegant, it captivates the nose with scents of white flowers, citrus nuances, aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit like pineapple and tropical fruit, notes of dried fruit, toasted almond, and soft hints of vanilla and pastry. Broad and harmonious, it unfolds on the palate in a creamy and rich sip, which anticipates a finish of lively freshness.
