The Chianti Classico from Poggio Scalette is the most representative and memorable image of the magical hill of Ruffoli, in the subzone of Greve in Chianti, from which this red comes to life. On the nose, it presents the typical aromas of violet, cherry, and red fruits, while on the palate it surprises with juiciness and a powerful acidic backbone, with a pleasantly savory finish and perfectly integrated tannins in the sip.

The Chianti Classico from Poggio Scalette is a Tuscan red wine whose strength is embodied by the freshness of the bouquet offered to the nose and the ease that characterizes its drinkability. The fruity aromas are indeed lively and invigorate the nostrils with sensations that recall the primary characteristics of the Sangiovese grape, while on the palate one is pampered by an expressive and incisive sip, which tells of a deeply drinkable and round soul. A bottle that faithfully showcases all the magic, elegance, and refinement of the wines born within the terroir of Chianti Classico.

This Chianti Classico is produced by the Poggio Scalette winery starting from the grape that, more than any other, embodies the splendor of viticulture in Tuscany, the Sangiovese. This variety is cultivated in one of the most vocated areas of the entire denomination, on the hill of Rufoli, at about 450 meters above sea level. The exposure is to the west and southwest, while the soil is characterized by a matrix consisting of mainly of silt and sand. The must ferments in cement containers, also undergoing malolactic fermentation here. The final aging phase lasts for a total of 13 months, of which 10 are spent in cement and three in glass, after bottling.

The Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico develops in the glass with a color reminiscent of ruby red, endowed with a beautiful brightness. An elegant progression of fruity notes envelops the nose, enriched by light mineral whiffs that emerge at the end of the olfactory examination. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, endowed with a dynamic and vigorous sip, which enters the palate with vitality also thanks to an interesting freshness and a slight salty vein. A bottle that captures the attention not only of the main national trade magazines but also of the most important international critics.
