Core Rosso' Montevetrano 2022

The wine Red “Core” is a beautiful example of what Aglianico, the red grape variety of reference for all of southern Italy, is capable of giving in a terroir with which it has a particular affinity, that of Campania. Besides the territory-grape combination, which already has its reason for the final result, one must obviously not forget the work done by the team at the Montevetrano winery, which, thanks also to the consultancy of Riccardo Cotarella, gives rise to a label of excellent depth, in which character and personality are felt from the very first sips. A gem not to be missed for anything in the world.

This “Core” Red is born from the pure use of the red grape variety that is the protagonist of the Campanian wine scene, Aglianico. The vines of this variety are cultivated with great care, and the Montevetrano winery can also boast the valuable consultancy of winemaker Riccardo Cotarella, a reference name worldwide for the production of quality wines. The grapes, once harvested and brought to the facilitiesin the winery, they ferment in stainless steel containers for 15 days, and then mature in new French oak barriques for 10 months.

The Montevetrano “Core” develops in the glass with a ruby color, concentrated and not very penetrable. The aromas that envelop the nose move on an orchestrated weave of red fruit and spices, from which a pleasant note of myrtle also emerges. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and round, with a refined sip, where the tannin is crunchy; it finishes with an excellent persistent finish, characterized by a fruity aftertaste. A label with which the Montevetrano winery not only wins the favor of the main national critics but also that of the leading international trade magazines.
