The Curtefranca Bianco "Uccellanda" from the Bellavista winery is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyard that gives the wine its name, on one of the brightest and sunniest slopes of the entire Franciacorta. A morainic basin on the shores of Lake Iseo, in the municipality of Curtefranca, in the district of Nigoline, above 300 meters above sea level. Here, the climatic factor represents the essence of the terroir: the warmth that the Lake releases during the day gives way to cool and breezy nights that ensure ideal conditions for the ripening of the Chardonnay grapes.
We are in a historic winery of Franciacorta, a winery that has contributed with its experience and tradition to enhance this territory. The Uccellanda vineyard extends over just over 4 hectares and is characterized by a substrate of glacial deposits, with sandy and silty levels. Harvest after a perfect selection and fermentation and aging for 12 months in small barrels of white oak, before resting for another 6 months in the bottle.
