Falanghina del Sannio 'Svelato' Terre Stregate 2024

The Falanghina del Sannio “Svelato” is a white wine that has managed to establish itself, in recent years, as a beautiful revelation of the wine scene in Campania, receiving excellent recognition from critics and the public. It is produced in the Sannio Beneventano by the two young siblings Carlo and Filomena Iacobucci, at the helm of the family winery called Terre Stregate as a tribute to ancient oral traditions and popular beliefs. It is said that in ancient times, mysterious cults of the goddesses Isis, Diana, and Hecate were widespread in Beneventano and that witches chose these territories as the site of their night gatherings.

The Falanghina “Svelato” from Terre Stregate seems to tell these magical and enchanting atmospheres in the glass, thanks to a delicate yet rich and seductive aromatic profile. The Falanghina grapes grow in typical hilly soils composed of clay and limestone at an altitude between 400 and 450 meters above sea level. In the cool underground cellar of the Iacobucci family, the grapes are destemmed and pressed, and the must is subjected to fermentation in steel tanks. A 6-month aging in steel completes the production process and gives life to a fresh and simple expression that reveals incisiveness and character.

The wine “Svelato” from Terre Stregate presents itself in a bright straw-yellow color and enchants the nose with aromas of yellow fruit, citrus, white flowers, and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it reveals freshness and tension, combined with good softness and the right consistency. Delicate hints of fruit, wisteria, citrus, and balsamic herbs enrich a harmonious finish with good persistence.
