Franciacorta Brut 'Edea' Mirabella
Mirabella winery's Franciacorta Brut 'Edea' is a delicate Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine made in Franciacorta from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Fresh and fragrant on the palate, the acidity, perceived first, is well balanced by a pleasant almond note at the end of the mouth. On the nose, hints of citrus and white flowers are accompanied by notes of golden apple and banana, and slight hints of yeast and bread, due to fermentation in the bottle. The perfect bottle for an outdoor toast!
The Lombard sparkling wine reality Mirabella introduces the Franciacorta Brut ‘Edea’, a Metodo Classico with a fruity and citrus aromatic profile. The foundation of Mirabella's production philosophy is the “Carta Etica”, a map that summarizes the key elements of the agronomic and oenological thinking of the winery, including environmental sustainability and food safety, factors that accompany the entire production process, from the vineyard to the final bottling.
Mirabella Franciacorta ‘Edea’ Brut is made from a blend of Chardonnay (80%) and Pinot Bianco (20%) grapes sourced from all the estate's vineyards, distributed among the municipalities of Paderno Franciacorta, Passirano, Camignone, Cazzago San Martino, Provaglio d’Iseo, and Rodengo Saiano. The vines are over 25 years old on average and rest on glacial moraine soils. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand, and the bunches are then transferred to the winery and subjected to soft pressing, with the must thus obtained undergoing alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature in cement tanks. To the vintage wine, a 10-15% of reserve wine is then added before the prise de mousse in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with at least 24 months of aging on the lees. The wine is finally dosed with a sugar residue never exceeding 5 g/l.
The Brut Franciacorta ‘Edea’ by Mirabella has a straw yellow color with golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, delicate notes of citrus, banana, and golden apple are accompanied by hints of yeast and freshly baked bread. The taste, pleasant and balanced, is characterized by pronounced freshness and a slightly bitter finish, of medium persistence.
