Indeed, this Nature 61 is bottled without the addition of any dosage liqueur, allowing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the grape varieties that make up the final blend, to express themselves with absolute authenticity. A bottle whose front label is graphically represented by a circle, a symbol of perfection. Never was such a choice more fitting, given the value of this product!
The Nature 61 is a Franciacorta DOCG that arises from the happy union of two particularly complementary grape varieties when it comes to creating sparkling wines, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vines of these two varieties are young, about 15 years old, and are cultivated within the municipalities of Corte Franca and Provaglio d'Iseo. The grapes, harvested in the third decade of August, once they arrive at the winemaking facilities of Berlucchi, are gently pressed, fermenting alcoholically in steel, then remaining on its own yeasts for 6 months in both oak barrels and steel; the second fermentation occurs, as per the rules for the production of the Classic Method, in the bottle, where the wine then remains to age for at least 60 months. At the time of disgorgement and bottling, no dosage liqueur is added.
The Franciacorta Nature 61 presents itself in the glass with a straw yellow color, crossed by fine and persistent bubbles, with chains that impress due to their abundance. On the nose, layered, complex sensations are perceived, alternating notes of fruit with sensations of balsamic herbs and aromas reminiscent of yeasts and pastries. On the palate, it has excellent body, is voluminous, with a sip endowed with minerality and pleasant freshness; it finishes with a persistent aftertaste. A product with which Berlucchi reaches very interesting qualitative peaks, achieving some of the highest accolades attributed by the main Italian industry guides.
