The Franciacorta Saten Ca’ del Bosco, in the elegant Magnum format, is a blend of Chardonnay with a smaller percentage of Pinot Bianco. The grapes are hand-picked usually in the second half of August from vineyards scattered among the municipalities of Erbusco, Adro, Cazzago San Martino, Corte Franca, and Passirano, in the province of Brescia. They then undergo a unique process: in a specially designed machine,created and assisted in washing and hydromassage of the grapes which allows for complete cleaning without the loss of aromas. The processing procedure of Saten is as simple to describe as it is decisive for the fate of the wine: during the tirage, the phase in which yeasts and sugars are added to the wine to initiate the refermentation, the amount of sugar added is less than that of a traditional sparkling wine.
The notes that reach the nose from the Saten “Vintage Collection” are mainly fruity, from peach to pineapple, passing through the acidity of citrus that intertwines with the sweetness of honey. The characteristic of this Saten is that it is less aggressive in the mouth, thanks to a soft and velvety bubble and a truly exquisite delicacy.
