The Friulano "Toh" is one of the flagship white wines of the Di Lenardo winery, aged only in steel to preserve the primary aromas of the grape. It has a bouquet of white flowers, sweet almonds, and citrus, and a delicate, soft, and round palate. Toh, what a white wine!
“Toh!” is the Friulano from the Di Lenardo winery that, starting from its innovative and catchy name, presents itself as a wine produced to amaze and fascinate, maintaining a strong connection with its territory of origin. We are in Friuli Venezia Giulia, precisely in Ontagnano in the province of Udine, in a territory protected by the Alps and caressed by the winds, including the mild Scirocco coming from the Adriatic Sea. In this context, the property of the Di Lenardo family consists of about 150 hectares, of which around forty are cultivated with vineyards, and it is divided between Ontagnano, Aquileia, and Manzano. The distinctive characteristics of the various soils give a distinctive imprint to this wine, skillfully enhanced by a simple and impeccable production process. The “Toh!” indeed reflects the mineral finesse of the territory and, in its immediacy, linearity and ease of drinking, also reveals character and elegance.
The white wine “Toh!” Di Lenardo is obtained from pure Friulano grapes, selected and harvested strictly by hand. The production philosophy is aimed at the genuine expression of the grape, guaranteed by a vinification that takes place in only stainless steel and by aging on the fine lees in the same containers.
This is one of the most famous expressions of the Di Lenardo winery. In recent years, it has managed to establish itself for its refinement, already traceable in the delicacy of the color that shifts from straw yellow to lively greenish hues. On the nose, it is characterized by its distinctive notes of bitter almond and citrus, as immediate and pleasant as they are harmonious and expressive. On the palate, elegance is evident in a well-present body that is slender and with a well-managed balance between the enveloping softness and the freshness that enlivens the sip. A rediscovered grape variety, in its expression both traditional and modern: simple, innovative, and captivating.
