The Galea Bianco is a wine made from Friulano grapes with a small addition of Verduzzo, an indigenous grape variety. With a deep and very territorial personality, it ages for 18 months on fine lees in steel. Ripe yellow fruit, honey and flint emerge on the nose. The sip is soft and concentrated

The “Galea Bianco” is a wine made from Friulano and Verduzzo grapes. An eccentric white wine, bottled by the winery I Clivi, located in Corno di Rosazzo in the province of Udine. The Zanusso family, winemakers by choice, cultivates very old indigenous vines with low yield, striving to best respect the territory and nature, giving rise to authentic and expressive wines, just like this reference. A long aging on fine lees and the intrinsic qualities of the grape type give a wine multifaceted and unique with intense aromas and a enveloping sip.

The “Galea Bianco” from I Clivi winery is a white wine from grapes grown between the Colli Orientali and the Collio Goriziano on soils composed of sandstone marls that provide good minerality and taste to the wine. 70-year-old vines that offer a low yield but do not require fertilization and irrigation; thus, the Zanusso family manages to respect their agricultural philosophy which calls for minimal human intervention and the absence of chemicals in the vineyard and during winemaking. After harvest, the bunches are pressed whole, without being destemmed.Static decantation and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts occur in steel. The must then ages for 18 months in contact with the fine lees in steel before being bottled and released on the market.

The Friulano “Galea Bianco” from I Clivi appears as a bright and clear straw yellow in the glass. The olfactory perception develops vertically; initially, floral and ripe fruit notes present themselves, which are later enriched with honey, hints of almond, aromatic herbs, and flint. From the very beginning, it is a wine that aims to be versatile and articulated. On the palate, it is substantial, deep, and consistent with the sensations perceived during the olfactory analysis. A bottle endowed with great drinkability, balance, and an extremely long finish.
