The Gewurztraminer by Tiefenbrunner is a white wine made from grapes sourced from vineyards located at 260-470 meters above sea level. The nose reveals aromas reminiscent of candied fruits, oriental spices, honey, and sage. Full, mineral, and persistent. Excellent also with ethnic foods

The Gewurztraminer from Tiefenbrunner perfectly embodies the style of the South Tyrolean winery. It is a white wine of pure tradition, which makes its simple straightforwardness an added value to bring into one’s daily life. Engaging, sunny, and refined: these are its main traits, the result of a winemaking process that aims to faithfully express the soul of the territory and the grape variety. The Tiefenbrunner winery is located in Cortaccia, in Alto Adige, and works with grapes from the areas of Cortaccia, Niclara, and Magrè, both from owned vineyards and from affiliated winemakers.

Tiefenbrunner Gewurztraminer is produced from 100% grapes of the same variety, coming from hilly vineyards located in the areas of Niclara and Cortaccia, at an altitude ranging from 260 to 470 meters above sea level. Exposed to the South and South-West, the vines are grafted onto a morainic, gravelly, and calcareous soil in the first area, and clayey in the second. Following the manual harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery where they are pressed. The obtained must is placed to ferment in containers of steel. The aging takes place on its own yeasts inside concrete tanks for a period of about 4 months. At the end of this period, the wine is bottled and put on the market.

The Gewurztraminer Tiefenbrunner presents a straw yellow color with brilliant golden reflections. Its aroma is intense with notes of candied fruit and grape, honey, spices, rose petals, and a hint reminiscent of sage. On the palate, freshness and sapidity mark the sip, based on a full body. The aromas perceived on the nose are confirmed, with the same intensity. It manages to surprise, revealing an interesting side of its character when paired with Asian cuisine dishes and spicy dishes.
