Greco di Tufo Villa Raiano 2024
The Greco di Tufo from Villa Raiano is a white wine that impresses with its freshness, minerality, and savoriness. Vinified and aged in steel, it expresses a very fragrant bouquet reminiscent of fresh citrus, crunchy white fruit, and white flowers, with subtle mineral incursions. On the palate, it shows agility and ease of drinking, thanks to a clear and pleasant component of marine freshness.
Villa Raiano is a winery that produces its Greco di Tufo in Raiano Serino, in the province of Avellino. A renowned Campanian reality that presents a structure perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the valley carved by the river Sabato, populated by vineyards and woods that compose a bucolic landscape for dreamers. The harvest takes place in the first week of September and is carried out exclusively by hand. Once transported to the winery, the whole bunch undergoes a soft pressing and a subsequent static decantation, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature and aging, both carried out in stainless steel tanks for a short period, so as not to compromise the primary aromas of the varietal.
The characteristics of Greco di Tufo are well reflected in the label of Villa Raiano, starting from its bright straw-yellow color. Initially, the notes of orange blossom and elderflower emerge, followed by the freshness of anise, mapo, and loquats that accompany a more almond-like finish, enriched by hints of quince. The sip is intense and highlights a powerful
