'Le Ombre' Poggio Mandorlo 2016
"Le Ombre" by Poggio Mandorlo is a red wine from Tuscany coming from the Maremma wine area, just outside the borders of Val d'Orcia, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese grapes, and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques. It expresses an intense and rich aromatic bouquet, with aromas of blackberries and dark fruit, with mineral details of wet stone, licorice, Virginia tobacco, and leather, concluding with an intense, persistent, and balsamic finish.
