The “Lis” is a very elegant and articulated white wine, obtained from internationally renowned grape varieties historically cultivated in Friuli, vinified and aged in French oak barrels. The bouquet is rich and delicate, composed of Mediterranean herbs, many varieties of flowers and fruits. The sip is soft, fresh, dynamic and very persistent, with impeccable harmony

“Lis” is a Friulian white that confirms the historic tradition of this land in offering cuvées of great harmony, balance, and aromatic richness. It is the result of a blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc aged in wood, which gives a wine that is not only captivating for its intensity but also very long-lived. “Lis” is part of the Riserve collection of the Lis Neris winery, which represents the pinnacle of the range, with a series of prestigious labels capable of expressing the highest level of excellence of the splendid Friulian territory.

The white “Lis” is born in the San Lorenzo Isontino estate, not far from Gorizia, an area where international white grape varieties have found a second home. The vineyards are cultivated on soils characterized by a clayey surface layer, which rests on a very draining gravelly substrate, ideal for viticulture, also favored by the constant presence of cool winds blowing from the northeast. The local tradition of creating cuvées stems from the belief that the union of multiple grape varieties with different and complementary characteristics can give wines of particular harmony and balance, which enhance, more than the single grape variety, the characters of the terroir. “Lis” is born from a blend made up of 40% Pinot Grigio, 30% Chardonnay, and 30% Sauvignon, three noble French white grapes, which combine their peculiarities into a wine of exceptional quality. The vineyards are planted in Guyot, with a density of 5200 vines per hectare and produce with a very low yield, not exceeding 50 quintals/ha. The fermentations take place in 500-liter French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 22-24 °C. The wine ages on the lees in fine tonneaux for 11 months with frequent bâtonnage and completes the aging with 12 months in bottle.

The “Lis” wine from the Lis Neris winery is the culmination of a quest always aimed at producing high-quality labels. An intense, rich, deep, and long-lived white, with an extraordinary gastronomic vocation to accompany seafood menus or delicate white meats. It presents a beautiful intense yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, it expresses a mature, elegant, and complex profile with aromas of white flowers, yellow fruit notes, hints tropical, sensations of honey, vanilla, and hints of herbal and spice nuances. The sip is broad, rich, complex, and persistent, always supported by lively freshness and a pleasant savory-mineral vein.
