The Malvasia "Soluna" is a soft, rich, and fresh white wine, made from slightly dried grapes and aged in barriques for 10 months. Enveloping aromas of orange blossoms and almonds animate a round and velvety sip, endowed with minerality and freshness

The “Soluna” by Livon is an aromatic wine with a generous profile, born from slightly dried grapes. It is undoubtedly a wine that emphasizes a grape variety from the Friulian territory, Malvasia Istriana, skilled at presenting itself with a range of enveloping aromas, a prelude to a sip where the drink is noticeable for the mineral note perceived during tasting. A bottle that we could define as engaging, perfect for accompanying various recipes and preparations based on fish.

The Malvasia “Soluna” by Livon is made from Malvasia Istriana grapes, grown in vineyards that are about 40 years old, characterized by a predominantly marl subsoil. The chosen training system is that of the trellis. The harvest, carried out entirely by hand in boxes, selects bunches that are then dried for 10 days; followed by a brief cold maceration and the pressing phase. The must is clarified through static decantation, and the subsequent fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees. The aging takes place in the same containers, without the wine being racked, and lasts a total of 6 months.

“Soluna” Livon moves in the glass with a shade reminiscent of straw yellow, endowed with a particular concentration. The nose is decidedly aromatic, telling a olfactory progression where hints of fruit and flowers alternate with an insistent rhythm. The entry on the palate is warm, marked by a delicate sip, characterized by a good freshness and an interesting savory vein. It finishes with a finale characterized by an almond aftertaste. A label that demonstrates the consistency of the Livon winery, capable, year after year, of confirming the “Soluna” at good quality standards.
