Artisanal
Unusual grapes
Organic and biodynamicThe Nero Ossidiana is a famous red wine from Sicily made from indigenous grapes, such as Corinto and Nero d'Avola, and aged for 8 months in barrel. It has an intense and decisive personality, characterized by fruity, spicy, and mineral aromas, Mediterranean and salty. The taste is warm and structured, supported by excellent freshness and typical savoriness.
The Nero Ossidiana by Tenuta of Castellaro has a strong character, just as the earth from which it came. A land , one of the Eolei Islands, which combines the roughness of steep slopes with the softness and sweetness of the sea. Here, in one of the clearest examples of heroic viticulture of South Italy, was born on the Tenuta of Castellaro the Nero Ossidiana. A red wine that takes life from the balanced union of Corinth and Nero d'Avola; a red wine that makes it a fitting tribute to the Eolei Islands, partly because it is produced according to the techniques and philosophy of traditional wines. The philosophy of "Vigneri", which follows the Tenuta of Castellaro, can produce wines of excellence in the full respect of nature and traditions; wines that tell the history, the tradition, the peculiarities of the territory in which they are born. A territory shaped by fire, dominated by the winds and the sea. A land full of Pomice Bianco and Ossidiana Nera; two stones are substantially identical, that differ only in the temperature to which they are erupted. Ossidiana, which gives its name to the red wine of Tenuta of Castellar , is a volcanic glass that is formed by the cooling of the lava. It's a stone that speaks of Lipari, who is intriguing part of its history and its past. A stone that gives the wine a flavor and an incredible minerality that go well with the fruity aromas of this Sicilian red.
