The Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Villa Bucci is a fragrant and intense EVO oil from the Ancona area, mainly produced from centuries-old plants of the Carboncella variety and other local cultivars. With a luminous emerald mantle, it spreads green aromas of artichoke, rocket, aromatic herbs and a light fruity note. With its intense, harmonious and decisive body, it enhances seafood dishes, red meat, soups and vegetables.

The Villa Bucci Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced on the estate of one of the most famous wineries in the Marche region. Villa Bucci is a historic name in the area, and the family has been present in these lands since the 1700s. The estate is located in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi area and covers an area of 350 hectares, cultivated with vineyards, olive groves, wheat, corn, sugar beets, legumes, and sunflowers. The oil is derived from centuries-old Carbonella or Carboncella trees, an ancient Marche cultivar known for its good productivity, which produces small-sized drupes but with a good oil yield percentage. The blend is completed with other ancient and rare Marche varieties such as Minerva, Leccio del corno, and Raggia di Ostra Vetere.

The olives from the Villa Bucci estate are cultivated in the beautiful green hilly area of Ostra Vetere and Serra dè Conti, in the province of Ancona. Although the area is at the same latitude as Tuscany, the climate is cooler and has greater temperature fluctuations between day and night, caused by the cold air currents descending directly from the northeast. The result of this particular pedoclimatic situation is an oil that is particularly fragrant and has a very delicate taste. The plants are cultivated with a significant distance between them, and the harvest is done manually. The pressing is carried out cold with traditional stone mills. Before bottling, the oil undergoes only a light filtration with hydrophilic cotton, in order to preserve all its aromatic richness intact.
