
'Pianelli di Mammi' Tanganelli 2022
Artisanal"Pianelli di Mammi" is a red wine from the province of Arezzo, produced by the winery Tanganelli. Blend of three different varieties, the alcoholic fermentation is carried out through indigenous yeasts, the malolactic happens then in wooden barrels, and then be moved to refine for 6 months in steel. Intense ruby red in the glass, it is a wine that gives off complex aromas of berries and chocolate. It goes well with the traditional dishes of Tuscan cuisine.
'Pianelli di Mammi' is a Tuscan red wine, produced by the artisanal winery Tanganelli, capable of combining structure and tasting dynamism. This label is vinified from Sangiovese, to which small percentages of Malvasia Nera and Colorino are added to soften its sensory characteristics. The processing involves the use of the ancient technique known as “governo all’uso toscano”, which consists of adding must from slightly dried grapes to the primary must that has just completed fermentation, thus starting a second fermentation that lasts until spring. Regarding the name of the bottle, the “pianelli” are the strips of land that separate two rows, in other words the inter-row spaces, while “Mammi” is a fraction of the municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino from which the homonymous hillside vineyard overlooking the Val di Chiana takes its name.
Carlo Tanganelli 'Pianelli di Mammi' comes from a blend of Sangiovese (85%), Malvasia Nera (10%), and Colorino (5%), grown on clayey soils under organic management.organic. After the harvest, the must obtained is placed in wooden barrels where alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place thanks to indigenous yeasts and lactic acid bacteria, respectively. Once the transformation is complete, the addition of must from slightly dried grapes is carried out according to the Tuscan government practice, with the second alcoholic fermentation extending until spring. The wine finally matures for 6 months in steel tanks before bottling.
The 'Pianelli di Mammi' by Tanganelli has an intense ruby red color. The aromatic bouquet ranges from aromas of berries and cherry to notes of chocolate and leather. The taste shows good body, balanced tannins and long persistence. A typical interpretation of Tuscany, evocative of ancestral roots.
