The Roero Riserva 'Gorrini' by Deltetto comes from the prestigious Cru "Gorrini", a vineyard that the family inherited from grandfather Aldo Deltetto in Santo Stefano Roero, an area suited for the production of fine reds. It is a very complex red, thanks to the long submerged cap maceration and three years of maturation between barrel and bottle. On the nose, it opens with elegant notes of violet and crunchy red fruit, like ripe cherries. On the palate, it reveals the typical tannins of Nebbiolo, gripping and with fine grain, responsible for its great structure. Tradition suggests pairing it with mixed fried dishes from Piedmont

The Roero Riserva 'Gorrini' of the Deltetto estate is a Roero Nebbiolo with a deep and complex soul, an expression of the single cru Gorrini of the same name. This Additional Geographical Mention is located in the municipality of Santo Stefano Roero, between the cru of San Michele and Rivetto, and is counted among the historical plots of the territory. The vineyard, inherited from his maternal grandfather Aldo, lies in a magnificent position and for years its grapes have been destined for Roero 'Braja', which with the 2020 vintage has changed its name to 'Gorrini', a choice aimed at giving greater prominence to the identity of the cru. As in other prestigious Roero areas, the Nebbiolos produced here stand out for their ability to combine structure, elegance and finesse.

The 'Gorrini' Deltetto Roero Riserva is produced from pure Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in a certified organic way on soils characterised by a high concentration of sand. Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are then placed in wooden barrels for alcoholic fermentation, accompanied by about 30 days of maceration on the skins during which the submerged cap technique is applied. Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine is left to age for approximately 24 months in oak casks and barriques, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing before its definitive release. Throughout the entire process, the mass then undergoes no filtering operation.

In the glass, the Roero 'Gorrini' Riserva from the family-run Deltetto exhibits a vivid ruby red colour. The aromatic baggage brings with it complex and captivating scents of violets, ripe cherries, undergrowth, cinchona bark and aromatic herbs, enriched by deep hints of leather and various spices. Intense but surprisingly vertical on the palate, with a fine freshness, characterised by a robust skeleton and a fine, almost sandy tannic texture that accompanies the very persistent finish..
