Rosso 'Alberese' Fattoria di Sammontana 2024

The Rosso ‘Alberese’ is a refreshing and juicy bottle made in the province of Florence by the artisanal winery Fattoria di Sammontana. The name ‘Alberese’ pays homage to the homonymous type of soil also known as galestro, which is widespread in the Chianti area and particularly appreciated by the Sangiovese grape. It is a clay-limestone soil, rich in skeleton and poor in organic matter, capable of producing wines of exceptional finesse. This label aims to reveal the most immediate and easily readable face of the territory.

Fattoria di Sammontana ‘Alberese’ Rosso consists of a blend of Sangiovese and Trebbiano Toscano from 2 hectares of vineyards aged between 30 and 50 years, rooted in limestone-based soils. Agronomic operations are carried out in compliance with the rules of certified organic farming integrated with biodynamic practices. The grapes are hand-picked and placed in stainless steel and concrete tanks where spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place.spontaneous with short maceration on the skins.
