Perfect to drink every dayThe Sangiovese di Romagna "Primo Segno" is a fresh, crisp, and juicy red wine: a beautiful and bright expression of Romagna. Its clean, dry, and balanced profile is interwoven with harmonious nuances of cherry, small red fruits, and underbrush spices
The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore “Primo Segno” by Villa Venti is the most representative wine of the winery and its straightforward and genuine style, a faithful interpreter of the best characteristics of the grape variety and the territory. A smooth, fragrant, fresh, and sapid red, made simply and traditionally, thanks to a very delicate winemaking process that respects a raw material of excellent quality. Its pleasantly fruity aromas, floral nuances, freshness, and sapidity make it an ideal companion to bring to the table paired with ragù pasta, baked pasta, roasted meats, or grilled dishes.
The “Primo Segno”, Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore by Villa Venti, is born in the Roncofreddo area, where the 7-hectare estate is located, managed with the utmost respect for the natural ecosystem, according to the principles of organic farming. Among the rows, the grape varieties that have always been present in these lands find space, primarily Sangiovese, along with Centesimino and Famoso. The grapes are the result of vines grown as bush vines in a sunny hilly area, at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. The soils are composed of sands and red clays, particularly suited for the cultivation of Sangiovese. Fermentation occurs spontaneously and with the use of only indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. To preserve the varietal aromas of the grapes and the fragrance of the aromas, aging involves a few months of rest in steel and subsequent bottling.
The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore “Primo Segno”, produced by the young winery Villa Venti, is the most classic interpretation of Sangiovese from this historic production area. A traditional wine that renews the oldest local customs. With a bright ruby red color, it expresses a bouquet characterized by floral scents of violet and iris, aromas of marasca, red currant, ripe cherry, and hints of underbrush. Smooth and fragrant, it has a fine and delicate tannic structure and juicy and crunchy aromas of red-fleshed fruit. Harmonious and fresh, it offers a savory finish and good taste persistence
