Sparkling Wine by Gerry Scotti is an extra brut dosage from Oltrepò Pavese made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, refined on the lees in bottle for at least 30 months. It has an elegant and fragrant bouquet of vanilla, yellow fruit and aromatic herbs and a dry, fresh and lively taste, of good softness and excellent balance

The Metodo Classico Extra Brut by Gerry Scotti is the spokesperson for the vocation for sparkling wine of a terroir with enormous potential like that of Oltrepò Pavese. Pinot Nero, the principal grape of the local bubbles, and Chardonnay, which adds creaminess and breadth, in a rare elegant interpretation born from the love for his land by the host Virginio Scotti and the Giorgi family, already well known for the quality of the wines produced. A true return to the origins for Gerry, who has never hidden his nostalgia for home, for the family vineyard located near Canneto Pavese where today the vines of the Giorgi winery grow. A modern approach to viticulture, supported by the best available technologies, is the seal of an excellent line of wines that reserves no small surprises for those who decide to make space for them in their cellar.

The Extra Brut by Gerry Scotti comes from a blend of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, with grapes grown in the Canneto Pavese area on calcareous-clay soils. After harvesting the fruits of sustainable agriculture, with careful selection of the grapes both in the vineyard and in the winery, an extremely simple and typical vinification process is followed according to the classic method. The sparkling process therefore occurs in the bottle, but it is the long aging of 30 months that increases the complexity of the liquid, which after a further brief rest in glass is ready to be marketed.

The Extra Brut from the Giorgi-Gerry Scotti line peeks into the glass with a deep yellow, turning towards gold and a fine and persistent foam. The first olfaction outlines a compendium of pure finesse and elegance, where the dominant notes are of crunchy golden apple, small pastries, and refreshing wild herbs. Wide and varied, the liquid confirms its richness also on the palate, where intensity and body are masterfully supported by a structure of freshness and sapidity. It joyfully accompanies every occasion, from an informal aperitif to dinners with various courses, thanks to a truly unlimited gastronomic versatility.
