Thanks to its particular characteristics, Ribolla Gialla is very suitable for sparkling wine production using the Charmat Method and offers a citrusy, fruity, and floral wine, pleasantly smooth and easy, ideal for tasting at aperitif time, with vegetable or seafood appetizers or with first courses of delicate flavors.
The Ribolla Gialla Sparkling Wine from the Teresa Raiz winery is made with excellent quality grapes, which come from the estate's plots, located in the areas of Prepotto and Rosazzo, always very suitable for the grape variety. The vineyards are cultivated in a hilly area, which ensures beautiful sunny and always ventilated exposures. The soils are composed of flysch or ponca in Friulian, a sedimentation of marl and sandstones of Eocene origin, stony and rich in mineral substances. The bunches are gently pressed and the free-run must ferments in stainless steel tanks, before being transferred to an autoclave for the sparkling process and the second fermentation. The Charmat Sparkling Wine of Ribolla Gialla from the Teresa Raiz winery is a bottle with a convivial, young, and easy character, which immediately satisfies the palate with its pleasant expressive immediacy, direct and essential. It appears in the glass with a light straw yellow color with bright and brilliant greenish reflections. The perlage is of good finesse, continuous and persistent, and brings to the nose aromas of orange blossom, acacia flowers, fragrances of lime zest, grapefruit, cedar, aromas of Granny Smith apple, pear, white peach, and hints of herbal notes.
