The Thanks is a white wine rich and intense, obtained from 5 different grape varieties from the Friuli region with vinification and aging in new American oak barrels. It expresses itself with generosity and brightness in a bouquet of yellow flowers, exotic fruit, honey and vanilla. The sip is soft, rich and enveloping, with fruity, fresh and mineral aromas

The “Thanks” is a classic Friulian white, made from a blend of indigenous grapes from the area and international grapes, historically cultivated in Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is a rich, generous wine, with a complex bouquet and a broad, enveloping taste, which well reflects the salient traits of the whites from the region. Thanks to the protection to the north from the Julian Alps and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea, the climate of Friuli is fundamentally Mediterranean, always mitigated by the gentle sea breezes. In these conditions, the white grape varieties express themselves at high levels of excellence, which have made Friulian wines famous worldwide.

The Thanks wine is born in the vineyards of the estate located in Ontagnano, in the province of Udine, in the heart of Friuli. The soils are predominantly gravelly, of ancient alluvial origin, very draining and rich in minerals. The wine is the result of the union of: Chardonnay (50%), Sauvignon (15%), Friulano (15%), Malvasia (10%) and Verduzzo (10%). The grapes are hand-picked and the Verduzzo bunches undergo a light drying. After fermentation, the wine continues its aging process on the fine lees for a period of 4 months, part in steel and part in American oak barrique, before being bottled.

The white “Thanks” by Di Lenardo is the most traditional of Friulian wines, which by ancient custom are the result of blends of multiple grape varieties, which in the past were cultivated in the same vineyards in a mixed manner, far from the modern vision of single-varietal plots. It is the white that best expresses the history of the region, with its rich, complex, and mature character. The color is golden yellow, intense and bright. On the nose, it opens with floral aromas, yellow fruit, and tropical fruit, with hints of honey, candied citrus peel, and vanilla. On the palate, it is broad and juicy, with a deeply aromatic mid-palate and a finish that closes on savory notes and memories of almond.
